BIOGRAPHY
MARK S. GORRICETA is the Chairman and Managing Partner of the Firm. Under his leadership, the Firm has expanded its nationwide presence through regional affiliations in the Visayas and Mindanao, and strengthened its global reach through international legal networks and strategic partnerships across Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the United States.
With over two decades of experience, Mark is widely regarded as a leading lawyer in the Philippines in the fields of technology, fintech, and innovation. He has advised conglomerates, multinational corporations, financial institutions, startups, and high-growth companies on complex corporate, regulatory, and cross-border matters. His practice encompasses mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, banking and finance, technology, and artificial intelligence.
He has been consistently recognized among the Philippines’ Top 100 Lawyers by the Asia Business Law Journal from 2020 to 2025 and by The Legal 500 as a Leading Individual in Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) Law.
Beyond private practice, Mark plays an active role in shaping the Philippines’ digital and innovation ecosystem. He serves as Chairman of Go Digital Philippines, a private sector-led national collaborative platform and nonprofit initiative convened by the Private Sector Advisory Council for Digital Infrastructure under NEDA to support the country’s digital transformation agenda and align private-sector capabilities with government priorities.
He also serves in leadership roles across several industry organizations, including as Board Trustee and Vice President of the FinTech Philippines Association, and as Board Trustee of the Blockchain Council of the Philippines, Cybersecurity Council of the Philippines, and the Global AI Council Philippines, among others.
Mark is likewise a faculty member of the Ateneo de Manila University Graduate School of Business, where he teaches Mergers & Acquisitions.
A member of the Philippine Bar since 2004 , Mark holds a Juris Doctor degree with honors and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the Ateneo de Manila University. He has also completed executive and certificate programs in corporate finance at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) and further pursued certificate courses in corporate finance at Harvard University.
